FAQ's

What are the salary scales at Wandsworth?
We have a career grade for Social Workers and Senior Social Workers which ranges from £28,770 - £37,851. The salary scale for Consultant Social Workers (currently Children’s Services only) and Principal Social Workers is £37,851 - £40,506.  All these posts in Children’s Services are eligible for Performance Related Pay (PrP). In the Department of Adult Social Services, only Senior Social Workers at the maximum of the pay scale are currently included but we hope to eventually extend PrP to all posts.

Yes the Council can provide financial support for relocation and removal expenses in certain circumstances.   We can provide you with further details at the interview stage.

What parking facilities are available at the town hall/office?
Controlled Parking Zones cover most of the Borough so we give our social workers a parking permit or parking space which allows you to park close to the office.

Will I be given a parking permit when I'm visiting service users?

Does Wandsworth support 'greener' methods of travel?
