How to Apply

You can apply for vacancies advertised on this site through our centralised online recruitment system. You can use the search function to find the most suitable vacancy. Alternatively,  follow the links within the vacancies section.

If you are a qualified Social Worker, we'd love to hear from you. The majority of roles do not have deadlines, as we are recruiting on an ongoing basis. In some cases, we do advertise specific roles especially for senior and specialist positions. These 'one-off' vacancies do have deadlines, which will be clearly stated.  We have posted general job descriptions and person specifications for a number of our posts onto the site on our role descriptions section. If you do not find the role you are looking for you can register your interest for future vacancies, job alerts and news.

Upcoming interview dates:

The recruitment process is planned and structured. For roles we are recruiting to on an ongoing basis, we generally hold interviews on a specified date each month. If your initial application is accepted, you will be invited to the next available interview date.

Next interview date for Children’s Services Social Worker postions: February 2011 (actual date TBC)

Next interview date for Adults Social Services: Not currently recruiting

If you can’t make the upcoming interview date (or complete your application in time), it’s still worth submitting your application as soon as you can. We will then be able to give you plenty of notice if we intend to call you in on a forthcoming interview date.
