Wandsworth is an inner London borough in the south west of the capital
London Borough of Wandsworth
More than 280,000 people live in the borough, which stretches South from the Thames at Battersea and Putney through Wandsworth Town down to Tooting and Balham.
Wandsworth is known as one of the greener inner London boroughs, thanks to Battersea Park, Wandsworth Common and Tooting Common. We’re also renowned for our council tax rates, which are the lowest in the country. There is a perception that Wandsworth is largely affluent – but in fact there are huge contrasts. You’ll find deprived areas alongside more prosperous ones throughout the borough.
The majority of Wandsworth’s residents think the borough is a great place to live. If you ask our employees, most will say it’s a great place to work too. Public transport links are good if you’re travelling into the borough. Our team also rate the shopping amenities and leisure facilities highly. Plus, there lots of good cafes, restaurants and other places to go out when you want to unwind after work.
